Patrick Evans has taught New Zealand literature at the University of Canterbury since 1978. He has written plays which have been performed in New Zealand and Australia. His plays Cold Turkey and Stuff: A Play on Words have won awards.
His most recent play is the award-winng Gifted based on his 2010 novel about Janet Frame and Frank Sargeson.
