Claire Hiria Dunning (née Ahuriri) (Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Raukawa, Pākehā) is a non-binary (she/her/they/them/ia) multimedia award-winning author, game writer and playwright, writing fantastical and inclusive stories that matter for the young and young-at-heart. They are the recipient of an NZSA 2024 mentorship and were selected as one of six kaituhi for the Te Papa Tupu 2024 cohort. They discovered a love for playwriting under the tutelage of Kathryn Whillans at Glenfield College.
